Memorial Day began as a somber commemoration of sacrifices made to protect our liberty and we’ll pause to remember that this weekend but it’s also a kickoff to Virginia Beach’s best season – good ole summertime!
We have a pretty good forecast for the Old Beach Art, Green and Farmer’s Markets on Saturday and lots to do after that. Lots of folks with a 3 day weekend visiting the ViBe, too.

Old Beach Farmer’s Market is marking their 10th year. Something special happening every month. This Saturday, Mayor Will Sessoms will start things rolling at 10 a.m. with a My Sweet Vegan Cupcake Celebration followed by School of Rock at 10:30 and 11:30. The Steel Pier Art Show is this weekend, too. Come see us and then wander down to the Steel Pier and see our friends – especially Ashley Smith and Teresa Hartman.
At noon, Beach Street USA is in full swing with The Gypseas at the 7th Street Stage and Dustin Furlow at 31st Street.
