THIS WEEK’S MARKET

Old Beach Art Market | Virginia Beach VAMemorial Day began as a somber commemoration of sacrifices made to protect our liberty and we’ll pause to remember that this weekend but it’s also a kickoff to Virginia Beach’s best season – good ole summertime!

We have a pretty good forecast for the Old Beach Art, Green and Farmer’s Markets on Saturday and lots to do after that. Lots of folks with a 3 day weekend visiting the ViBe, too.

PLUS Five – count ’em, five – NEW ARTISTS. Come meet Shannon Calley, Marisa Kuntz, Melissa Laverdiere, Emily Warden and Kenn Young.

Old Beach Farmer’s Market is marking their 10th year. Something special happening every month.  This Saturday, Mayor Will Sessoms will start things rolling at 10 a.m. with a My Sweet Vegan Cupcake Celebration followed by School of Rock at 10:30 and 11:30.  Check out the article on page 3 in today’s Virginian Pilot.

The Steel Pier Art Show is this weekend, too. Come see us and then wander down to the Steel Pier and see our friends – especially Ashley Smith and Teresa Hartman.

At noon, Beach Street USA is in full swing with The Gypseas at the 7th Street Stage and Dustin Furlow  at 31st Street.
We’ll be looking for you on Saturday.

OUR NEXT MARKET
Old Beach Art Market will be rocking and rolling every Saturday all summer except Virginia Beach High School Graduation Day – June 17th.

So mark your calendars. We’ll see you on 19th Street next week – June 3, 2017

Hello, Artists and Art Lovers –

I’m psyched about Saturday’s Old Beach Art Market. It’s gonna be great. We have a lovely, long list of artists planning to be with us:

Acara, Jackie, Kay, Kim, Lori, Mallorie, Teresa, Tommi and Market Manager Ashley PLUS 2 newbies – Mike Smack and Hillary Davenport.

This is a don’t miss market!

I’m psyched, too, about www.OldBeachArtMarket.com. Our new and improved website is live and I’m eager to see what you think. Like all websites, it’s a work in progress but it looks good to me. You’ll be able to catch things like this eblast in the blog. And we’re always open to suggestions.

So plan to be with us on Saturday. The market opens at 9:00 a.m.

Hello, Art Marketeers

Hello, Art Marketeers!

How many gamblers do we have? Willing to gamble on tomorrow’s weather?

Old Beach Art Marketing | Virginia Beach, VALooks like we have a better than 50/50 chance of no rain on Saturday morning and if it does rain, I’m convinced it’ll be after 12:30. I’m liking our odds. And it’ll be warmer than this week’s deep freeze! Image result for st. patrick’s day 2017

We’ve got a great line up with two new artists. Jackie English was with us in February and she’s joined this week by regulars Kym Bach, Joe McMurray and Ashley Smith. Our newbies are Mallorie Terranova and Nick Halleran.

Ashley is our Market Manager. Be sure to see her for your location. Set up begins at 8:00 a.m. and the market is from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

Hoping to see you there.

Artist and Art Lovers

Hello, Artists and Art Lovers –

Old Beach Art Market – February 2017 edition – is on the calendar for tomorrow. Looks like the weather will be absolutely perfect. In the low fifties by 9:00 a.m.  Can’t ask for better than that!

We have a choice lineup for tomorrow. Bob Wright and Beth Wray will be with us as will Ashley Smith, Teresa Hartman (YardArt) and Tommi Long (ContraVan). We’re pleased to have Jackie English joining us for the first time.

The market opens at 9:00 – See you there.

2017 OBAM Begins!

Hello, Artists and Art Lovers –

Looks like 2017 will be starting on a very positive note. Saturday’s weather is predicted to be mild – mid forties to mid-fifties – with a very small chance of rain. That’s ideal in January (considering what it could be doing).

We have a very nice list for Saturday, January 21st: Kym Bach, Jasmine Fountain, Bob Wright and Beth Wray and Market Manager Ashley Smith plus ContraVan and first timer Acara Phipps.

Don’t be alarmed if 19th Street isn’t closed to traffic.  That just means that you’ll find us in Croc’s parking lot with Old Beach Farmer’s Market

Come see what’s happening this weekend at the Very First 2017 Old Beach Art Market!
